Webcam gesture recognition runs in your browser. Hey does not upload webcam frames or hand-tracking landmarks.

When you connect and send a Hey, your chosen display name, Presence style, message, gesture, and any voice note are uploaded to the Hey service so they can be delivered to the paired Specs device. Specs replies are uploaded for delivery back to the same conversation.

Voice recordings are stored privately and played through short-lived links. Hey keeps conversation data until an operator manually deletes it; there is currently no automatic expiry. Avoid sharing sensitive information.

This showcase does not require an account. A random sender identifier is kept in local browser storage so the conversation can be reopened on that browser.
